Introduction
I lived in Brazil for much of 2007. During that time, I made a Gilberto Silva Pilgrimage. I visited three places of great relevance to Gilberto Silva:
- The first was Lagoa da Prata; this is the small town in the state of Minas Gerais where Gilberto grew up.
- The second was Atlético Mineiro's football stadium in Belo Horizonte city, the club where Gilberto made the big time in Brazilian football.
- The third was América Mineiro's football stadium also in Belo Horizonte city, the club where Gilberto started his professional football career.
I made this trip in late November 2007, and took quite a few photos. I will now share them with you, as well as accompanying them with a brief commentary.
