Gilberto will miss first few Premiership games

Gilberto’s season will start in September
Wenger said the following:
“Gilberto is not ready. We have a three-week plan to build him up again. He did not play the last game of the Copa America and had three and a half weeks off. It will take two or three weeks to get him ready. If you don’t do that he will suffer during rest of the season.”
Despite the sensationalist headlines on various websites, this information isn’t really news at all. We knew months ago that Gilberto wouldn’t be fit for the start of the season. Don’t be fooled by Sporting Life’s headline of “GILBERTO GONE TIL SEPTEMBER” – it’s a touch dramatic. He’s not “gone” anywhere til September. He’s back at Arsenal til September, where he is training to regain his match fitness after his rest.
