Gilberto misses Brazil match

On Saturday the 12th of November, Brasil played a friendly game against the United Arab Emirates. Brasil thrashed the UAE 8-0, but Gilberto Silva did not get a look in. [Go here for a match report]. The following players started the game:
Dida, Cafu, Lúcio, Juan, Roberto Carlos, Emerson, Zé Roberto, Kaká, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Robinho, Adriano.
Emerson and Zé Roberto played in central midfield, leaving Silva on the bench. It’s okay though, they seemed to do okay without him.
Brasil were originally going to have a second international friendly on Tuesday (15th November) against Kuwait. That game has been cancelled due to FIFA having too many F’s in their name.
This means that Gilberto will make the journey back home to England sooner than expected, which is good news, as he will be fully fresh for the Arsenal game against Wigan.
