Gilberto subbed on in Brazil friendly

Brazil won 8-0 and it was the 67th minute in which Edmilson picked up his ankle injury which saw him sent home.
Some news sources are saying that Edmilson’s injury means Gilberto will start for Brazil in their first world cup game – but this is probably not the case. Edmilson is not a starting player for Brazil, so his absence should not mean GIlberto will start in his place. Edmilson was a substitute, and that is the part which Gilberto will play.
